This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. The “focal” stitch looks like falling leaves, and it is properly shown off by a lace faggotting stitch. There is a “purl back” row in the focal stitch making it a slightly easier lace to knit. Since it is made using sport weight yarn, it is a fairly “quick knit.”

Both lace stitches are both charted and written out line by line. The pattern also includes instructions for an optional crocheted edging.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

This pattern was expertly pattern tested by Betsy Finn, who can be reached at: betsyfinn.com, and is known on Ravelry as, elisabetsey.

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in the colorway, Cranberry.
