Leafy Galore is an oh-so-scrumptious crocheted cowl with lots of – you guessed it! – leafy texture.

About the pattern:

Leafy Galore is worked in one piece, starting in rows for one leafy edge. It’s then sneakily turned and worked on the opposite side of the beginning chain in rounds for the rest of the project. It uses less than a skein of fingering weight yarn and works well both in solids or multis; if you have more yarn, you can adjust the size for a higher or loopier cowl. Sport-weight yarn is also an option if you like your cowl even bigger and more textured.

My sample was made with Alparino, an extra yummy limited edition alpaca blend by Lorna’s Laces, and it is so soft and luscious! If you were not able to snag a skein at the Chicago Yarn Crawl, anything soft and even slightly fluffy from your stash would work wonderfully, as well as one of your more unusual hand-dyed skeins!

370 yards of fingering weight yarn
