This “Leap-frog” crocheted hat and scarf is made from the top down in rounds. The pattern is linked in above and below the surface alternately. Since I made the first ones in green it reminded me of the children’s game of leap frog.

Uses any worsted weight yarn. About 85 yards of a main color and 12- 15 yards of a complimentary shade/ hue.

It starts with a magic loop and only requires knowledge of chain stitch, double crochet stitch and single crochet stitch.

The linking pattern can be done flat for scarves, cowls, or blankets.

The pattern includes picture tutorials and written instructions.
