Leaps and Bounds is a pretty top featuring contrasting coloured sleeves, leaping tramlines and bounding cable patterning. It has a flattering squared-off neckline and a gentle waist shaping. Construction Info
It is worked flat in 2 pieces (front and back) from the bottom-up, using the simplest form of intarsia. The cable patterning (the Bounds) along with the horizontal garter ridge tramlines (the Leaps) add decorative detail. Colour 1 is for left sleeve and left side of the body and Colour 2 is for right sleeve and the majority of the body. The sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round from the top-down using circular needles.

4.5mm (US 7) (or size required to get gauge) straight and/or circular needles of 80cm (32”) or longer; 4mm (US 6) 80cm (32”) or longer circular needles for neckline and sleeve cuffs; 1 spare needle of larger size for a 3-Needle BO; Cable needle; 4 to 6 removable stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, measuring tape and yarn needle for weaving in and seaming up.
