Leaves & Trellis is inspired by the twin-leaf and trellis stitches found in Barbara Walker’s Knitting Treasuries and the desire for an alternative to garter stitching edges on shawls.

It comes in one size.

The pattern is given in full written and charted instructions.

Skill Level intermediate: there are wrapped stitches and 1into7 stitches.

Finished size: roughly 46” x 21”.

Notes on Materials
420-450 yards of fingering weight yarn
US 6 and US 8 circular/long needles
notions: tapestry needle, scissors, tape measure, blocking pins/wire, salvage yarn or stitch markers (if desired - no instructions are given for placement of markers)

The pattern is not intended for lace-weight yarns - the border will lack definition and not appear to advantage.
