The wheel pattern with plant leaves on the crown of this tam is a reminder of the glorious colours nature displays in different seasons: golden autumn leaves, red winter berries and hot pinks and reds of spring and summer, against the backdrop of some evergreens.

The traditional motif of open song books (in the past always knitted with black and white) in the body of the tam echoes these colours, as well.
