The Lebenswege cowl (Lebenswege – paths of life) picks up the pattern of the Lebenswege shawl. That shawl symbolizes the paths of life. The paths you can take in life are often unpredictable. They twist and turn. And on this cowl too, the cables separate themselves to new cables in the end. Or just new paths and new chances in life. Those only end when you take your last breath.
By the way, my favourite poem is “Stufen” (Steps) by Hermann Hesse.
The repeat in the neck part of the cowl is only 4 stitches. Thus, you can adjust the cowl to any size and any yarn. How to adjust it as well as examples for calculations are at the end of this pattern. You will find detailed instructions with charts and written patterns to the charts (7 pages).

Der Lebenswege Cowl greift das Muster des Tuchs Lebenswege auf. Das Tuch symbolisiert die Lebenswege, die sich oft kreuzen und winden. Und auch beim Cowl teilen sich ganz zum Schluss die Zöpfe wieder zu neuen Zöpfen auf. Oder eben neuen Wegen oder auch neuen Chancen im Leben. Diese enden erst mit unserem letzten Atemzug.
Mein Lieblingsgedicht ist übrigens „Stufen“ von Hermann Hesse.

Der Rapport im Halsteil des Cowls hat nur 4 Maschen. So kann man den Cowl auf jede beliebige Größe und auf jedes Garn anpassen. Umrechnungsbeispiele gibt es am Schluss der Anleitung.
