Modern and retro at the same time, this brimmed cloche is knit with a strand of Eco+ yarn and a strand of lace weight Malabrigo held together. The lace weight yarn adds color and texture, but may be omitted without affecting the pattern.The hat is knit in a single piece in the round. Comprehensive instructions are provided for how to felt the hat in washing machine and shape it afterward. The flower applique is handmade and added post-felting.

MATERIALS:

Needles: Size US 10.5 circular needle and/or double pointed needles or size to achieve gauge

Notions: Scissors, darning needle, 1-1/2” to 1-3/4” decorative button and washing machine for felting

Yarn:

1 Skein Cascade Eco+; 230 yards; Color: Aporto

1 Skein Malabrigo Lace; 230 yards; Color: Water Green (Optional)

For Flower: Approximately 10 yards of any feltable worsted weight to bulky weight wool yarn in a gold or orange shade
