The Leerdam Advanced Cowl is made of repeating stripes of the three-color and two-color mosaic tweed pattern, the lacy Pillar stitch and the cable-like Valley stitch. A bit of stockinette stitch in between further accentuates the textures and provides a perfect place to seamlessly graft your cowl together.

CONSTRUCTION

The Leerdam Advanced Cowl is knit sideways in the round to create a long tube for double the warmth and a seamless look. It starts with a provisional cast- on and a stockinette band followed by a slip stitch section (including 3 different patterns arranged symmetrically), then another stockinette band with valley stitch in the middle. This whole sequence is worked a total of 2 times with a bit of color variation, so you can always choose which section you want to wear to the front that day. The cowl finishes with another stockinette band, making it very easy to graft the last round to the cast on with Kitchener Stitch to join the tube into a loop.
