What will be your legacy for the month…this is celebrated the entire month of August! I liked the image they selected- a person as a tree and generations going outward, like our shawls. I liked the things written about how to celebrate this month…a good support system, being who you are, and doing things you enjoy and can leave behind. This sounds like a perfect bunnymuff kind of knit along celebration! Many of us gain so much from our time chatting and helping each other with our shawls and giving encouragement in all sorts of ways; each of us is at a different level and have different gifts (in our knitting and our lives) and this seems to be our way of being who we are! I have been wanting to knit a full square….
This project is intended to be knit in the round and though, there are no ws rows to be purled, there is pattern on every row in a number of places.

Don’t forget to come hang out in our bunnymuff group if you want to chat, show off stuff, or have any questions!

The shawl begins with a central motif and then becomes lacier as you move outwards. To me, there is a bit of geometry, a bit of fruit and flowers, and a little bit of leaf.

This is a square shawl. It is knit in the round from the center out. Begin on dpns and move to circulars, as your shawl grows. It has beads, if you like, ~ 600 per panel for a grand approx. total of 2400 beads (6/0 or 8/0 whatever you prefer) . I used lace weight on 3.25mm needles and used 1300 yards achieving a square with sides ~60”
