This cowl is knit in the round with a stranded colorwork pattern that is charted. Within the pattern, you will have to work the three different colors on the same round. To do this, just catch the floats of the two colors that are worked less with each other. When told to “cut yarn” always be sure to leave enough of a tail to weave in the end (about 6-8” should work).

The inspiration for this pattern came from watching my husband play Legends of Zelda. The center motif reminds me of the rupees in the game. I designed this cowl to be apart of a set that includes a hat. You can knit just one, both for a matching set. This set will be perfect for winter walks and hikes. The rich, darker tones of the blend of wools used by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers make the colors work so well together.
