A bit of sunshiny citrus that works as a lightweight summer sock, or in a sport yarn for the colder months.

I designed these socks with Durasport yarn from Canada’s beloved woollen mill, Briggs & Little, with a contrasting heel and toe in Sport, which I reinforced. See this Knitty article about how to reinforce socks.

Although this pattern is written for double pins, cuff-down, you can work it on circular needles, and toe-up.

The pattern is written for a sport weight yarn, which will give you a medium to large adult size. You can size down by using a light fingering yarn and smaller needles.

If you’re using Durasport or another sport weight yarn, you can also use 2.75 mm needles for a larger, less densely knit sock.
