Lemon Squeezy Cardigan is an all-over Garter stitch cardigan knit from the top down, with a double-knitted button band. Stitches are cast on for the back panel and the shoulders are shaped with German Short-Rows. The back panel is worked until the underarm, then stitches are picked up for the shoulders. The right and left front are worked separately, and the V-neck is shaped with increases. Then, the back and front panels are connected, and the last neckline increases are worked. The cardigan is then worked flat until the desired length. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are knit flat in Garter stitch with decreases and seamed up at the end. Finally, the double-knit button band is knit along the front opening. The pattern includes a modification to knit the cardigan without the button band, and place buttonholes directly into the Garter stitch fabric.
