Speckles and colorwork aren’t always a match made in heaven, but this design makes the most of both. A bold, minimalist colorwork yoke stands out against a sea of speckles, finished with a round of bobbles (or, for those that don’t like bobbles, a more subtle stranded design). If you really like throwing everything in the mix, you can carry a strand of mohair along with the colorwork design colors, for a gentle halo effect.

This sweater is worked seamlessly, from the neck down. Short rows and a folded neckband make for a crew neck that won’t choke you, and short rows at the waistband drop the back hem a little. Faux side and underarm seams are basted to finish, a la Karen Templar, ensuring your sweater doesn’t stretch and twist out of shape.

Sizing

Sweater is designed to be worn with approximately 6-9”/ 15-23 cm of positive ease.

If you are larger than a D-cup, consider choosing a size based on your high-bust measurement, then modify the pattern by increasing as necessary to fit bust after the yoke break.

Model is 5’8”/ 172 cm, with 34”/ 86 cm bust circumference, and wears bust size 40.5”/ 103 cm.
