Grandma Leona was a talented seamstress and crochet artist who lived life in full color. This hat is based on the original she made in the 1960’s and was discovered after she passed away. The timeless design is too good to be lost to the ages and has been recreated for future generations to enjoy.

The Leona Hat is worked from the top down in unturned rounds until the brim. The overlay is worked from the top down in a spiral. The two are nested together and connected before the brim is added.

The sample is made in Rowan Pure Wool Worsted Superwash in colors 120 redcurrant and 191 mauve mist.
