Leontine Shawl
by Fanny Jane
The Leontine shawl design follows a relaxing three-row repeat. This pattern is made-to-measure, meaning that you make a gauge swatch to determine the best yarn and hook size combination, then make any number of rows necessary to reach the desired dimensions. Yardage depends on various factors, such as personal tension, yarn thickness and length customizations, but you should be able to make it with about 700 yards of yards.
With this pattern, you are expected to know how to make a magic circle, a single crochet, a double crochet and a chain. If you don’t, video tutorials of these stitches are easily found online. All other stitches are explained in the Stitch Tutorial.
