It Can Be A Scarf or Shawl Pattern
Designed for Best Little Yarn Crawl in Texas 2019
Jenn Kulick, Designer and Dyer

Even though we are not recognized as a Hill Country yarn shop, we still participate the best way we can. We design. We dye. We contribute.

This pattern is an adaptation of other patterns but still the inner workings of my mind. I wanted a design that was accessible to all range of knitters and could be versatile. One skein of yarn makes a kerchief. 3-4 skeins make a shawl!

ERRATA

EDGE PATTERN
Row 1: k2, yo, k2tog, k1….repeat this to five stitches, k2, yo, k2tog, kfb

If you get to the end of the row and have an odd number of stitches on those right side rows then knit. This corner will be tucked away. This gives your corners stability. If you are an intuitive knitter, then you know to repeat the pattern until the last stitch, stop and KFB.

The Rule of 5
On this pattern, I state that you must have a number divisible by 5 before transitioning to the edge. Take note that you increase by 2 stitches every two rows. In my moss green sample, I stopped my pattern on row 11. I completed the KFB and this gave me 35 stitches on my needle. I will not KFB on row 12. Instead I knit 5 then purled to the end. My end goal is to get back to the start so I can begin the edge work.
