Let It Snow Wall Hanging
Let It Snow Wall Hanging - PDF Crochet Pattern
This pattern is available for free on my blog - www.loopsandlovecrochet.com. Here you are paying to purchase an ad-free, printable, PDF version of this crochet pattern.
The Let It Snow Wall Hanging is a beautiful design to display for the winter season. While not specifically holiday themed, this wall hanging can “hang” with the festive decorations, but then stay up for the rest of the winter afterwards!
To make this wall hanging, you will be working from a graph using the intarsia/tapestry crochet technique (explained in the pattern). Once the main panel is worked up, you’ll crochet it to a dowel for hanging. The optional fringe is added at the end.
Finished measurements from top of dowel to bottom of fringe is 14” wide x 19.5” tall.
This project would also make a great pillow! You’d just need to work up a second panel the same size as the first one and then crochet them together, adding stuffing or a pillow form in the middle.
This crochet pattern is easy to follow and intermediate-beginner friendly, but still fun for more experienced crocheters.
Materials:
• Worsted weight #4 yarn – You may use cotton or acrylic yarn for this project. A total of approximately 300 yds will be needed for this project. The colorways and yardages used are about 230 yds of White (includes yardage for fringe), 20 yds of light blue, 25 yds of darker blue, and 25 yds of gray.
• Crochet Hook – 4 mm size crochet hook
• Wooden Dowel (or similar material) – a 5/16” thick dowel was used for the wall hanging pictured. The dowel was cut to approx. 1-1.5 inches wider than the panel. You can also use a pre-cut 18” dowel and trim it down a touch or leave it slightly long on the sides.
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
• Scissors for cutting ends.
