Lethed is a crescent shaped shawl of scarf that will drape gracefully around the shoulders. Lethed is designed for ’variegated/dip dyed’ yarn. Variegated/dip dyed yarn gives a fine fan pattern in a contrasting color placed randomly on the entire shawl - the dyeing of the yarn determines the placement of the fan patterns.

Knit the shawl/scarf from the bottom and up. The pattern includes directions for knitting this shawl in x-small, small, medium, large and x-large. (Width at top edge: 140 (160, 180, 200, 220) centimeters, Height/depth: 35 (40, 45, 50, 55) centimeters).

This pattern is written for a knitter who is able to, follow written instructions.

This pattern calls for a yarn variegated/dip dyed yarn with a yardage of approximately 300 meters per 100 grams. Pictured in hand dyed (natural dye) 50% silk / 50% merino with a yardage of 300 meters per 100 grams from Chester Wool Company. (Dyed all over with walnut and dip dyed in cochenille).

Materials: yarn, circular knitting needle and stitch markers.
