In this document you will find the pattern, templates and tips for making these fab little Letter Blocks!

These letter blocks are great for children’s playing and learning, or just to look fab as a decoration in their nursery. My son loves his, he has had them since he was a baby and now at five years old he still plays with them. Now he is at school, he is always using them to show off what new words he knows!

The finished blocks are made up by crocheting individual squares which are joined together and stuffed with foam cubes measuring 8cm x 8cm (3” x 3”).

The intarsia technique is used for making the lettering and the pattern is in UK terminology.

I have targeted this pattern at ambitious beginners, so it is essential that you have some basic crochet skills. This is a great pattern if you are starting out and want to try something different to test your skills, alternatively a more experienced crocheter will whip through these in no time!

This document includes:-

  • A written pattern for the blocks
  • A photo tutorial for the colour changing (intarsia) section
  • Templates for each letter of the alphabet, accompanied by the picture of the finished letter for comparison.
  • You will also find a ‘bonus’ template at the end for a dice. This is a great little extra if you have a child that always loses the dice under the sofa, like mine!
