The Letterman jacket is designed to be easily knit on two knitting needles. The pattern is a detailed instruction, row by row description, with lots of photos. Who wants to puzzle on a pattern? Not necessary with this pattern!

PATTERN / DETAILS

• English language knitting pattern, US and UK terms.
• Yarn weight: DK
• Katia Basic Merino, 52% merino, 48% acrylic. Per ball 50 grams (1,76 oz) and 120 meters (131 yards). Gauge: 22 stitches and 29 rows = 10x10 cm (roughly 4 x 4 inches). Number of balls per size: see pattern.
• Flat shank buttons, 7 buttons with a diameter of 18 mm (0,7 inch) for sizes 12M, 24M, 2-4Y and 4-6Y and 7 buttons with a diameter of 20 mm (0,8 inch) for sizes 6-8Y, 8-10Y, 10-12Y and 12-14Y
• Two 4 mm knitting needles (US size 6 - UK size 8) for the back, the fronts and the sleeves, two 3½ mm needles (US size 4 - UK size 10) for the collars and two 3 mm needles (US size 2.5 - UK size 11) for the neck collar.
• Two stitch holders
• 3 mm crochet hook without handle (D3 US - 10 UK)
• One needle with a blunt tip (darning needle)
• Techniques used: Knit, purl, slip stitch selvage edge, yarn over, knit or purl stitches together, pick up stitches with a crochet hook.
