Needles & hooks: 5mm / US 8 circular needle, 60cm / 24” length
4.5mm / US 7 circular needle, 60cm / 24” length, and a spare circular needle
3.75mm / US 5 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length, and a spare circular needle
Crochet hook for provisional cast-on
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 2 stitch markers, waste yarn for provisional cast-on, stitch holders or waste yarn, cable needle, tapestry needle, large safety pin

Notes: Hood is worked from the bottom up from a folded hem. Drawcord casing is picked up and knit around the face opening and worked as a double knit tube that is grafted closed at the end. An optional face shield can be added by picking up and knitting sts from the folded hem.

To choose pattern size, measure head circumference and add 12-18cm / 5-7” to that measurement. Choose pattern finished circumference size that will give you the closest finished size.

ERRATA:
Under the drawcord casing instructions, there is a PM (place marker) that should not be there. The PM to omit is written in bold in the following instructions:

Drawcord Casing (edging around face opening)
Return the 16 sts on holder or waste yarn at base of face opening back onto 3.75mm circular needle and join yarn A.
