Meet the Newest member of Madeline’s Menagerie, Li Bai the Panda! She is the big mama of the bunch, made of bulky yarn and towering over her little buddies. She has an innovative elongated egg shaped body, complex color work eye patches, and a heart of gold! (well, a heart of stuffing…)

This is an Expert Level Pattern because of the complex color work, but I believe any intermediate crochter could master the color changes involved!

Necessary Skills

• Basic Crochet: chain, single crochet, slip stitch.

A Note on Size

This Pattern can be scaled up or down by using a different yarn weight and the appropriate hook size. The Finished Size, Gauge, Hook Size, & Yarn Amount listed are for the Large project.
• Small (7” seated): Crochet Hook C-2 (2.75mm) or D-3 (3.25mm); about 75 g of DK (3) yarn.
• Standard (10 ½” seated): Crochet Hook E-4 (3.5mm) or F-5 (3.75mm); about 100 g of Worsted (4) yarn.
• Large (14” seated): Crochet Hook I-9 (5.5mm) or J-10 (6.0mm); about 300 g of Bulky (5) yarn
