Libby Slipover
This is a slipover vest with tie sides; top-down, seamless construction, worked in rows, available in UK crochet terminology. This pattern is suited to intermediate crocheters.
Materials
4.5mm crochet hook
This pattern was designed in Loom Wool Merino DK (225m/100g) in the colourway Sorrel. This yarn is 100% superwash merino. If using this yarn you will need 4, 4, 4 (5, 5, 5) 5, 5, 6 skeins. Alternatively, you will need approximately 800, 830, 850 (940, 1000, 1050) 1070, 1090, 1140m.
Gauge and sizing
This pattern uses linked treble crochet (UK term), or linked double crochet (US term). In this stitch pattern, the gauge is 17 stitches and 9.5 rows per 10cm (10 rows measures 10.5cm).
The garment is designed to be worn with 5-9cm/2-3.5” of positive ease around the hips, as this garment has open sides around the bust area but is designed so as not to pull tight around the hips when sitting.
To fit the following hip sizes; 33-34, 35-36, 38-40 (42-44, 46-48, 52-53) 54-55, 56-57, 61-62”/83.5-86, 89-91.5, 96.5-101.5 (106.5-111.5, 116.5-122, 132-134.5) 137-139.5, 142-144.5, 155-157cm. Using standard sizing charts, this would match with the following bust sizes; 28-30, 32-34, 36-38, (40-42, 44-46, 48-50) 52-54, 56-58, 60-62”/71-76, 81-86, 91.5-96.5 (101.5-106.5, 116.5-122, 132-134.5) 137-139.5, 142-144.5, 155-157cm, and these will correspond to sizes 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6) 7, 8, 9.
Sample shown in size 3 on a 39”/99cm bust and 40”/102cm hips.
