This pattern is worked flat from the bottom up, with a cable pattern that you can choose to work from either the chart or the written directions. Inspired by the fitted garments of the 1940s, it uses a change in needle size to create waist shaping. This is a great pattern for confident knitters looking for a challenge.

As the designer of this garment, I will be happy to
provide pattern support.

--I loved knitting with the Cascade 220 yarn. It has lovely colors, a huge spectrum. I highly recommend it for this sweater

The revised version now available as a Ravelry download has been re-sized for 12 sizes: XS (S, S2, M, M2)L, L2, XL, XL2XL2, and 3XL) for body bust sizes of 30 (32, 34, 35, 37)39, 40, 42, 440, 52) inches, 78 (82, 87, 91, 95)100, 103, 110, 11227, 136) cm
It is intended for 1-2” 2.5-5 cm pos. ease, but the stitch is flexible enough to be worn with zero ease if worn with a light top underneath. The magazine version was ordered with more ease as shown in 2nd photo.I

Magazine version sizes: XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X) to fit bust 71-76 (81-86, 91.5-96.5, 101.5-106.5, 111.5-117, 122-127, 132-137) cm
