These mitts are designed to be knit in the round on four needles - therefore they are seamless! If the thought of the colorwork frightens you, they look equally adorable in solids or variegated. If doing the ribbing in a solid color I use a smaller needle so it will be a bit tighter (when you do the two color ribbing it tightens up naturally). The string that holds them together is a chain but you could easily substitute an i-cord or a braided cord if crochet is not your thing!
