The “life savers” are actually big pintucks. Very simple to do and with a very dramatic effect. A second gauge of 6 stitches/8 rows per inch is given for use with DK weight yarn. This pattern is part of an entire book of socks for single bed hobby knitting machines. The table of contents of the entire book is given below.

Happy Hobby Socks is a collection of patterns for knitting on mid-gauge and bulky single bed machines. Plastic bed hobby machines are perfect for these socks. 2 gauges are given for each pattern. Both gauges are achievable on both mid-gauge and bulky machines. The patterns are all presented in sizes from infant to XL adult. $20 as an instant download
