Light Rain is a one skein shawl with wide wingspan, lace, beads and knitted-on border. It uses exactly one skein of 400 m (437 yards) of fingering weight silk blend yarn. I used speckled yarn with beads matching those speckles, but solids or even gradients will work just as well.

There is a modification written into the pattern that allows for slightly smaller yardage or looser gauge, so there is no need to worry you will run out of yarn.

As for the beads. No beads? No problem. :-) The shawl will be nice with or without them, just knit those beaded stitches without adding anything.

Size: one size, with 2 different finishing options to make sure you do not run out of yarn if using only one skein

Needle: 3.5 mm / US 4 - circular needle at least 80 cm / 32’’ long

Other Notions: stitch markers (4), size 6/0 beads (about 300 pcs) - optional, crochet hook 0.75 mm or dental floss for beads
