The Lightbug Socks are a great beginner, toe up sock pattern, with a twist! They feature a contrasting toe, cuff and heel with textured purl sections. This pattern is worked from the toe up, with a short rows heel and bound off at the cuff.

Sizing:

S(M,L) 8.5”(9.5”, 11”) circumference. When measuring foot, make sure to measure at the widest part of your foot to ensure proper fit!

Suggested Yarn:

200 - 240 yards of fingering weight yarn of your choice. For long term wear, it is best to choose a yarn blend with nylon in it for strength!

Suggested Needles:

US 1.5 (2.5mm) 9” circulars, 32” (for magic loop method) or US 1.5 (2.5mm) DPNs for small circumference knitting.

Notions:

3 stitch markers, weaving needle, scissors.

Techniques featured:

knit stitches, purl stitches, slipped stitches, short row heel, toe up sock knitting.
