Lighter Than Air features delicate clouds on a sunrise background. This triangle shawl is worked from one corner to the opposite side. It features an easy repeat that can be worked as many times as desired until your shawl reaches your desired size.

Level: Easy
The pattern uses basic stitches and features an 8 row repeat after the initial rows to set up the pattern. The picture tutorial makes it accessible for the beginner who is ready for a new challenge.

Size: Adjustable. The pictured shawl is approximately 64” / 162.5 cm wide and 19.5”/ 49.5 cm deep before blocking and was made with 200 g fingering weight yarn.

Size and yardage will vary based on yarn weight and size. The pattern has been tested with sport and lace weight yarn.

The pattern is written in English using US crochet terms. The PDF download includes:

  • The complete pattern for the shawl
  • A picture tutorial with 21 pictures detailing every row
  • A list of materials
  • Size and gauge information
  • A list of abbreviations
  • A table of stitch counts

Two pdfs are included: a printer friendly pattern and a longer tutorial.

I made the pictured shawl with KnitCircus’s Greatest of Ease in Rise and Shine (2-100g cakes) and a D (3.25 mm) hook.
