This interesting and easy to knit pattern combines 2 of my favorite textured stitches to create an unusually symmetrical baby blanket.

Recommended materials include approx. 600 yds worsted weight yarn and size 8 needles (24-32” circular).
Sample used 3 skeins of Berroco Vintage, color 5170 (Sapphire).
Recommended gauge is 4.5 sts per inch in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit with textured stitches, gauge information is provided in stockinette stitch, for ease in substituting yarns.

Blanket is knit in one piece, using 2 different textured pattern stitches that are easy to memorize.
Although both sides (front and back) are not identical, the blanket is attractive on both sides, making it reversible - which is a bonus for a blanket!

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off. That’s it!
It will be helpful if you are able to recognize and ‘read’ your stitches.

I hope that you’ll enjoy knitting this blanket, and that the babies in your life will enjoy using it!

Please post photos of your finished projects, and the babies using them!
