Today seemed like as good a day as any to make a cute little advent garland for the kids this year. This one is not only free and easy but uses a small amount of worsted weight yarn for each bulb. So, it’s great for stash busting. Each little bulb works up fairly fast and is big enough to hold a couple Hershey’s Kisses or a few mini candy canes. Both the bulbs and cord are easy enough to customize in your own project. The number tags used in the picture are called Tim Holtz idea-ology number tokens.

I’m also including optional notes. These give you the option to stuff each of your lights and make a regular garland. You can also add a plug to each end of your lights strand. These would be so cute hanging up or on a tree. Please help me keep this pattern free by not selling the pattern or claiming it as your own for sale. Do feel free to make and/or sell items made from this pattern though. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email at ethridge101@yahoo.com.
