Lightstripe is an lightweight shawl with an alternating garter stitch stripe pattern. The stitch pattern creates a bit of an optical illusion. Knit from the bottom up. Each side of the asymmetrical triangle features a different border treatement.

Coast by Holst Garn (383 yds per 50 g skein)
MC: Azure, 2 skeins
CC1: Jaffa, 1 skein
CC2: Harbour, 1 skein
CC3: Lemongrass, 1 skein
CC4: Dark Apple, 1 skein
CC5: Old Gold, 1 skein
CC6: Powder, 1 skein
CC7: Cherry, 1 skein
CC8: Honeydew, 1 skein
CC9: Blackcurrant, 1 skein
Yarn Usage
MC uses approx. 92 g of Coast. Each CC uses approx. 18 g of Coast.
US 2 (2.75 mm) 32 or 40” circular needle
You may find it helpful to start with a shorter (24”) needle, then switch to a longer needle as the piece gets wider.
