If you live in northern climes, keeping yourself warm like toast can be a challenge. The cold can also make us a little crazy – in this case, crazy about cables! The pattern is not too tricky (perfect if you’re just getting into cabling!) and works columns of tightly packed twisted rope cables up the body of the cowl. The perfect item to keep you warm like twisted toast this winter!

Materials:
1 skein Malabrigo Rastita (100 g pure merino wool, slightly felted. 310 yds) Color 850 Archangel pictured, 75g of 100g skein used.
16” circular needle in US size 7 (US size 5 is optional for a tighter knit ribbing – see notes in pattern)
Cable needle
Stitch marker
Yarn needle to weave in ends

Gauge is not too important, but each rope cable measures ¾” wide. Finished measurements are approximately 20” in circumference and 9” high. I used 75g of the 100g skein for this project - perfect if you have leftover yarn in your stash or need to make size adjustments!
