This single skein scarf is a fun knit and perfect for adding just a little something around your neck to either keep the breeze (or a slightly too effective A/C) off your neck or to add a pop of color to your outfit. This pattern is worked in varying sets of repeats and is designed to show off hand dyed yarns.
Finished Measurement:
Measurements will vary depending on how strongly or subtly you block your finished piece.
Approximately 56” long x 20” wide at bind off edge
Yarn Requirements:
100g Fingering Weight yarn
Shown in Dye Monkey Yarns - Tap Monkey
(463 yards/100grams, 75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon, Colorway: So Adorable).
Recommended Needles:
Size 4 (3.5mm) 24-32” circular or size required to get gauge. Please note – gauge is flexible, but yardage will vary
Supplies:
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge:
Approximately 27 sts / 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, blocked.
Notes:
Your shawl begins at the narrowest tip and will increase one stitch every 4 rows in a slow tapering triangle, maintaining a three-stitch garter edge on each side. Check boxes and stitch counts will be provided throughout to keep you on course.
