Lilia is a short/slightly cropped cardigan worked from the bottom edge and up. Lilia is designed for ’variegated/dip dyed’ yarn. Variegated/dip dyed yarn gives a fine fan pattern in a contrasting color placed randomly on the entire cardigan - the dyeing of the yarn determines the placement of the fan patterns. The cardigan has long set in sleeves (the yoke is worket in one piece / raglan construction).

The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 25 stitches per 10 centimeters (stockinette stitch) i.e. a yardage of approximate 300 meters per 100 grams. Pictured in hand dyed (dyed with birch leaves and indigo) 50% silk / 50% merino from Chester Wool Company.

The pattern includes directions for a cardigan with chest width: 93 (100, 108, 116, 124, 132, 140) centimeters and a length of 51 (53, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59) centimeters.

This pattern is written for a knitter who is familiar with rib and stockinette stitck (worked back and forth), a knitter who is able to follow written instructions and work increases, decreases and pick up stitches. The direction is written text.

Materials: yarn, knitting needles and stitch markers.
