“Lille Bold” is Danish and simply means small ball. You can make this little toy out of Fenris pure wool, or other fingering scraps. Yarn use is about 5 g (25 yards) of main color and 3 g (15 yards) of contrast color.

Knit in fingering weight, the ball has a diameter of 7.5 cm (3 inches), but it can be made with any other combination of yarn/needles/gauge.

The ball is knit in small short-row modules in garter stitch, stuffed, and then seamed.

The pattern uses a very simple – possibly the simplest – short row technique. After turning, simply slip one stitch purlwise with yarn in front. Using this technique, there is no wrapping or knitting stitches together.
