Needles
Size U.S. 0 (2 mm): Your preferred configuration for small circumference in the round: DPNs, long circular for magic loop, 2 shorter circulars, set of three flexible DPNs, 8–9” (20–23 cm) circular.
Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge (see Notes).

Notes

  • It may be helpful to switch to a larger sized needle—e.g., U.S. 1 (2.25 mm)—to work the top of foot once slipstitch colorwork begins, to maintain gauge and assist in keeping slipped floats loose in the finished project. Working with DPNs or two circulars makes this easy.
