What could be cuter than a little head topped with flowers? I can’t think of much! The Lily Garden cloche hat is a sweet beanie to welcome in the spring, and is quick and easy to make for your fresh-faced little one.

Materials Needed:
4mm (G) hook, edging, leaves all sizes
5mm (H) hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge for 3 months , 12 months,  and toddler sizes
5.5mm (I) hook for 6 months size
125-150 yards of Red Heart Super Saver in Light Grey, or, Red Heart With Love in Aran, Red Heart Soft in Guacamole, and Rose Blush

yarn needle

Stitches Used:
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
tr = treble crochet (also known as a triple crochet)
sl st = slip stitch

Special stitches
Picot: ch 1,  sl st back into ch creating a small point
Shell: 5 dc into same st

Measurements:
3 Months 6 1/2” wide by 5 1/2” tall
6 Months 6 3/4” wide by 6” tall
12 Months: 7 1/2” wide by 6 1/2” tall
Toddler: 8 1/4” wide by 7” tall
Each leaf should measure 2” long

Gauge:
2 1/2 shell stitches in 4”
Flower measures approximately 4 1/2” across after round 8.

Additional Notes:
-ch-1, or ch-2 at beginning of round does not count as a st
-This hat can be made with or without pearl beads. String the beads on ahead of time if making the hat in a solid color, or string them onto color C after you finish crocheting the flower and leaves.
-Beads pose a choking hazard. This hat should not be used as a toy. The baby should not be left unattended while wearing it.
