Feeling like you need a pair of wings? Make yourself a set! This whimsical wrap is worked sideways so that the feather tips are made individually without cutting and re-joining the yarn. This technique works really well with a self-striping yarn, or you could work each feather in a different colour for a very different look.

Experience with foundation single crochet and foundation double crochet is required to make this design. Otherwise, it uses only sc, dc and tr (US terms).

The yarn I used is supposed to be fingering (4 ply), but I think it is thicker than that, since I used a 4.5mm hook and my stitches are not too loose, but have a nice drape. I would suggest any cotton yarn that works up to the gauge/tension listed above would be appropriate for this design.
