Overview
Since it’s officially become cool outside, I’ve wanted a classic knit beanie to add to my wardrobe. This hat is composed of 1 by 1 ribbing and two different bases, creating a soft and luxurious fabric, perfect for urban travels and rural wanderings.
Specifics
Yarn:
Fingering weight yarn (MC)
I used Biches and Bûches in their Le cashmere and lambswool base
Lace weight mohair yarn (MC)
I used Knitting for Olive in their soft silk mohair base
mohair can be substituted for any lace weight yarn or both mohair and fingering yarns can be substituted for a single strand of dk weight yarn for the entire hat
Optional: Fingering weight yarn for contrasting cast on (CC)
I used Shibui Cima held double
Needles:
US 3, 3.25 mm, in 16 inch circulars and in preferred method for knitting on small circumferences
I used 32 inch needles for magic loop
