The Limn Socks use classic stranded-colorwork motifs to create patterns reminiscent of picket fences. The pattern uses a four-stitch repeat, which makes the socks easy to adjust for different sizes. The socks are worked in the round from the cuff to the toe and feature a short-row heel.

Yarn Cascade Yarns Heritage (75% superwash Merino wool, 25% nylon; 437 yd 400 m/ 3 ½ oz 100 g): #5681 Limestone (white; MC) and #5640 Cinnamon (brown; CC), 1 skein each.

Needles Size 1 (2.25 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

  • These socks are worked in the round from the cuff down with a short-row heel.

  • The chart is worked using the stranded method. Always pick up the background color over the pattern color and pick up the pattern color from under the background color. Keep floats loose.
