This pattern is available from patreon.com for $5.00.

Over the past year I’ve been working hand in hand with my patrons to create an exclusive design for my Patreon platform.
After reaching my goal, I proposed to create a pattern that would be available for them to download, but I really wanted to get them involved in the designing process so we had to create this pattern together!

I let them choose the type of garment that they were interested in the most, the type of fiber, the yarn weight, and the kind of texture that they would want to see.
With all of these informations gathered, I started working on this new design.

It was very challenging for me, having to work with so many creative restrictions, but oh so rewarding to try out new to me techniques, and create a new cardigan that I’ve been loving to wear so much already!

The Linden Cardigan, simple, basic, perhaps a little bit addictive to work on but definitely a wardrobe staple!

It’s slightly cropped, which makes it perfect to wear with high waisted anything! The fit is quite oversized and boxy with quite fitted sleeves to add a more feminine touch to the silhouette.

The cardigan is worked flat as the texture features a slipped stitch in garter stitch. So it goes very fast because there’s minimal purling involved. The button band is worked at the same time as the rest of the body, so there’s no stitches to pick up afterwards. My favorite part (and the most challenging to figure out in terms of designing) is the next shaping, which is done using German short rows. How fun it is to see the front and back panels getting together row after row! I’ll definitely be using this technique on another design very soon!

This new design is available through my Patreon platform only as it was created with and for my patrons subscribers. Which means that you can get a copy of the pattern there at the 5$ tier only!
