Linear is designed to be a wardrobe staple, with a broad neck, boxy shape and drop shoulders for a flattering but relaxed fit. Each piece is worked flat from the bottom up, with the right shoulder joined before stitches are picked up to create the neck. An easy-care yarn with a blend of wool and acrylic helps make this a practical and comfortable knit.

In addition to basic knit, purl, increases and decreases you will need to be familiar with creating a Vikkel braid (or willing to learn!). Instructions are provided in the pattern, and a good photo tutorial is available on the Knotions website:

I used Sirdar Country 4-ply, working to a gauge of 28sts and 40 rows over 10cm/4” using stocking stitch and 3.25mm needles. If you use a different yarn, please check the gauge and yardage carefully - the yardage can vary widely depending on the fibre.
