Yarn: B; any yam approximating 3-ply baby yarn in weight; 2 oz.

Needles:

  • no. 10, to knit gauge of 4 sts. to one inch
  • no. 7, to knit gauge of 5 sts. to one inch

Chart:

  • one box= 3 stitches or ridges (small, 32-36)
  • one box= 3 1/2 stitches or ridges (large, 38-42)

To knit: This shirt is excellent practice in joining and for this reason a nubbly yarn is best.
Units: Squares and triangles. Joining signs are omitted. When units already knitted lie at right of new unit, join by purling; when at left, join by knitting. PK and CF appear on chart only when used in reverse of usual direction.

Back is knitted exactly like front. Seam sides and shoulders.
