• DESCRIPTION: This stitch pattern is a favorite among crocheters because of its simplicity combined with a beautiful texture. Alternating single crochets with chains creates a solid fabric and a gorgeous feel and beautiful drape.

• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 10 SC worked in pattern stitch and 17 rows per 4”.
Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 10.5 inches by 9 inches.

• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sp = space
SC = single crochet
* * = Repeat what is in asterisks the indicated number of times
