I knitted this elf hat scarf (harf, scood, hooded scarf) for my son and, I kid you not, he gets compliments on it every time we leave the house in the winter months! I made it from very soft, handspun yarn, but it can be made from ANY YARN, in ANY GAUGE. You’ll need to be a little flexible and plan as you go to some degree, but it’s fun and easy.

Your download will include a specific knitting pattern (for a hooded scarf that will fit sizes 2-6 years) and finishing instructions (with a schematic illustration), along with advice for making it in any gauge, with any needles and yarn, for any size person: baby, adult, and in between. I think it is simple and clear enough for beginning knitters, but if you have any questions, please contact me. :)
