This sweater is designed to be worn with 2-6” / 5-15 cm (or more if you prefer) of positive ease and has a deep yoke - Swoncho like!

A playful wardrobe addition featuring a herringbone collar and split hem mixed with simple stranded colorwork throughout the circular yoke.*

Knit in fingering weight yarn for a lightweight easy to add on layer. The solid color block portion of the sleeves and the bottom herringbone hem are knit holding two strands together, providing a bit more warmth for the sleeves and a nice structured weight to the bottom hems.

Herringbone stitch gauge is provided for reference - do not swatch for size using this stitch

Notes

When knitting herringbone, it is recommended to use a needle size larger than might be typical for a particular yarn weight. I do not recommend going down a needle size from the suggested unless you knit very loosely.

The bottom herringbone hem and the solid colorblock on the sleeves are knit holding two strands together. When winding your yarn, plan accordingly to either be able to knit from the center and outside of your yarn ball or divide the skein into two separate balls. This will apply to Color 1 for the herringbone hem and Color 3 for the sleeves.
