Inspired by a visit to Lisbon and the wonderful tiles that cover so many of the buildings there, as well as the Turkish tiles and Ottoman textiles at the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon, this pullover is a celebration of the simple shapes that make those tiles so appealing and the play of figure-ground perception as the two colors in the yoke pattern swap places and dance with each other.

Lisbon features a bold stranded color work yoke, a scoop neckline with short-row shaping at the back of the neck, 3/4 length fitted sleeves, and subtle waist shaping.

Lisbon is knit in the round from the bottom up without seams. After knitting the body and sleeves, they are all joined in the round to complete the yoke and neck.
