♫ The Music ♫
The Humours of Lissadell is a traditional Irish reel that will surely get your toes tapping in these grand cable and lace socks.

Pattern Notes
These cable and lace socks are worked toe-up and begin with a moccasin toe; the heel is an Eye of Partridge slipped stitch heel flap. The pattern stitch on the leg is worked until a specific row in the chart / written directions; the ribbing length is therefore variable to obtain the finished sock height.

To work the included bind off, the knitter must be able to ‘read’ their knitting i.e. identify knit and purl stitches as they present themselves on the needles. Both charts and written directions for charts are provided.

One additional PDF is included with this pattern for the Written Directions for Charts.

Construction Notes
Once increases for the gusset have been completed, the heel cap is worked leading into a reinforced heel flap; no need to pick up stitches. The heel cap involves working short rows.

Since individual knitters’ row gauges may differ, the top ribbing length is variable as it is worked after completing a specific chart row.
